After a historic snowstorm we have just what we need … a quiet period but chilly
The snow pack in and around the area will lead to highs stuck in the low to mid 40s and frigid lows tonight with lower 20s over NW NJ and NE PA mid 20s for Central NJ and upper 20s NE NJ the snow pack will freeze again tonight and many areas will have a White Halloween.
For Halloween skies will be sunny to start then some afternoon clouds with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s nearly 10 degrees below normal , and tomorrow night a few showers will be possible but not a big deal and lows in the upper 30s to around 40 making for a rather chilly Halloween night
Tuesday morning will have a chance of showers before we clear out in the afternoon and highs 50-55 lows back into the lower 30s
Wednesday – Thursday will feature sunny skies and temps around 55 for highs and upper 30s to lower 40s for lows slightly below normal
Friday through next weekend a cold front may make things unsettled as there’s a bit of a pattern change or a relax in the current pattern for the Eastern US to become a bit warmer with a ridge of high pressure as the West US becomes stormier with a trough vice versa of what it is now. Theres a bit of a progressive and fast-moving pattern to start November in which temperatures will be back and forth from below normal for a few days to normal and perhaps above normal for a few days for at least the first half of the month
