Today the warmup has begun. High temperatures expected to be 59-62 degrees which is normal and around average for this time of year. tonight’s lows will range 35-40 degrees, slightly below average.
Tuesday will the warmest day and probably the warmest we see until next March or so with 65-68 degree highs , wouldn’t be surprised to see an isolated 70 over extreme SW NJ as well as the urban areas (Newark/NYC/Philly). No record highs or anything but still above normal by 5-8 degrees. High pressure will be sitting over the region with warm sinking air. With high pressure over the region over the next few nights , skies will be clear and winds will be light so lows at night will still be chilly and around average 40-45
The record highs for early November are 75-78 degrees and specifically tomorrows record high is 76 degrees , we wont go anywhere near that.
Wednesday the high pressure will start to weaken and head out to sea so highs will back down 60 around normal and lows 40-45
We finally recorded widespread record lows the past 7 days or so which hasnt happened in a very long time (several years). Over the last several years we have had a ton of record highs but little to no record lows, so the fact that we finally have broken widespread record lows tells me that there will be some serious cold air around this winter , possibly the coldest we have seen in a very long time. The last few winters, while snowy were not really all that cold.
Thursday a strong cold front will be moving in from the west with periods of rain and showers all day as well as falling temperatures through the day. Our highs will likely occur in the late morning or early afternoon before dropping. The high will once again be around 60. Lows will be back into the 30s as we head back into reality or really below reality
Friday will be sunny but highs will struggle to reach 50 and we will once again be 5-10 degrees below average and lows will range 30-35 about 5-10 degrees below average before moderating to around average this weekend with highs 50-55 and lows 35-40
