The only reason I am into this rainstorm so much is the fact that I am desperate for some kind of weather action around here. Its been completely dry since October 29th snowstorm, and I am not into 3 weeks of quiet weather and happy that I finally have something to track
Light to moderate rain is moving through the area, I expect it on and off through the night not a big deal maybe .10-.25
Light to moderate rain is extending well ahead of the main rain shield which is currently developing from Texas to SE Ohio. The main player here is a cold front basically stalled from Texas to off the Delmarva. The low developing in Texas os pulling a lot of Gulf of Mexico and all this moisture is riding along the cold front which will actually come north as a warm front due to this Low developing along it and the SE ridge.
You can see plenty of moisture riding ENE and a pretty strong circulation Texas / Louisiana. The rain will become steady and eventually heavy in the morning hours, heaviest rain will be Wednesday afternoon and evening. There will be another low riding the front Wednesday into Thursday and depending on where the front is Thursday could be quite wet, there is one thing against this and that would be dry cold air coming from the NW that may dry out the atmosphere , basically all the models keep Thursday wet so that’s going to be now casting
Models have converged on a 1-2 inch rainfall although Thursday could be a wildcard on total rain amounts
