We have a possible snow event coming in about 24 hours, very short notice, it was the storm I was originally talking about for tonight, models lost it well Out to sea for days but all the suddenly are coming back NW bringing a light to possibly moderate snow event to eastern NJ through Long Island. None of this is still 100% certain but high enough confidence to put out a snow map
NW of Green area- Snow showers possible, little to no accumulation
Green areas – WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY- This area there is a slight to moderate chance of accumulating snowfall, in the order of a coating to 2 inches ans a weak low passes well SE of the area, a period of light snow is possible tomorrow night
Yellow areas – WINTER STORM WATCH- In this area there is a moderate to likely chance of accumulating snow fall tomorrow night , in the order of 1-3 inches , a period of light to moderate snow is possible to likely tomorrow night.
This is a now casting event, which means we really wont know exactly whats going on until the storm is almost on top of us, I will know more tomorrow, just wanted to get it out there that there is a chance of snow and accumulating snow tomorrow night!!
The green area from this map could completely disappear or could turn yellow, the whole thing may have to be shifted NW if the trend continues or possibly SE , like I said I will know more tomorrow!!
