An active pattern is developing, 1st disturbance came through last night, it was a warm front that just bought clouds and drizzle over night, but you can tell it was a warm front because of the fact that its 55-60 degrees today!!!
A slightly more potent disturbance is organizing over PA and will move east
You can see on radar, showers and light rain are developing throughout the interior NE and will organize and swing east, this wont be a huge deal just widespread showers and maybe some steady light rain. I expect total precipitation to range for .10-.25, probably more like .10 with a few scattered .25 reading south of NYC. This will start to move in this evening and showers will last through early afternoon
Then right behind this is another stronger disturbance will move east and bring slightly more significant rainfall, although still nothing huge. That will come east, and try to phase with some moisture over the Gulf coast, the low will phase and bomb out just to our N&W so steady rain will develop over west PA and move east, heaviest rain in our area will be from Trenton on North , and the heaviest precip from the storm as a whole will be to our N&E but a widespread .25-.50 is expected, with .25 likely Trenton points south and more like .50 near NYC then locally .75 N of NYC.
As the low bombs out moving NE winds will increase, but late Thursday night into Friday afternoon expect steady rain fall especially Trenton Points north with increasing winds out of the S then increasing and changing northwest Friday afternoon, winds will range from 15-25 with gusts up to 40-50 at times Friday night into Saturday
Big cool down compared to today through Friday coming this weekend with highs in the low to mid 40s and lows in the 20s-30s into early next week, then we watch a storm in the monday-tuesday time frame, there appears to be a storm but track and intensity are to be determined which may also determine precipitation type believe it or not. The euro and its ensembles today came in with a coastal low track and a snow storm.
I dont think the pattern is favorable at all and im siding with the GFS which shows a low going into the Great lakes and a warm rain storm, the storm off the Euro is already being hyped, looking at the pattern I dont see how that can happen, and even if we do get a coastal low track, theres a lot of warm air around , so im thinking rain or mainly rain either way
