That drought denting nor’easter we just had which dumped anywhere from 2,50-4 inches of rain through the area while it has passed will continue to influence our weather the next few days
Our nor’easter is that spin that you see in Southern Canada, and it turned into an upper low, which in turn is digging a trough down the east coast with windy and cool conditions, along with some isolated showers spinning around the upper low and weak disturbances
The area saw some rain and snow showers last night and the threat will continue tonight for the whole area to see isolated showers mixed with snow, especially north and west of I295 lows tonight in the low 30s to low 40s
Tomorrow will be partly to mostly cloudy with isolated showers in the afternoon , these are called instability showers, they occur when there’s cold air aloft and much warmer air at the surface, especially if the sun comes out and the warmer surface leads to rising air and development of showers, which could be rather heavy, but since there is dry air around any showers should be weak, there will also be gusty NW winds , clearing skies tomorrow night with lows in the upper 20s interior to upper 30s along the coast.
Temperatures will be slightly below normal for this time of year
Thursday a bit of a clipper system will come SE and pass through PA/Southern NY and the forecast area, leading to enhanced chance of showers
So Thursday will be overall cloudy with showers and chance of storms in South NJ and SE PA, highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s, around seasonable to a little above in spots but cooler air will follow with lows in the low 30s interior to low 40s along the coast.
Friday will be a nice day but still on the cool side with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s interior to upper 50s along the coast and lows in the upper 20s interior to upper 30s and low 40s along the coast, again slightly below normal, there will also be a gusty NW wind
On Saturday we watch that disturbance in the Mid west as it will move ENE with highs in the upper 40s interior to mid to upper 50s along the coast, with an chance of showers and yes snow showers mixed in over NE PA possible and same thing on Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 40s interor and low to mid 50s along the coast Sunday, lows both nights in the low 30s interior and low 40s along the coast, slightly below normal
