Today as a clipper system that came through with some rain last night moves out and a cold polar air mass moves in, along with very strong winds, with highs today not getting out of the 30s and 40s for many and barely touching 50 along the coast, which is 15 degrees below normal
Tonight will get cold, freeze warnings are in effect fr the whole area (as shown in map above) for low temperatures dropping to or below freezing with low to mid 20s over the interior areas to low 30s along the coast, along with windy conditions that will make it feel like the teens and twenties!!
Tomorrow highs will range from the upper 40s over NE PA to upper 50s along the coast, 5-10 degrees below normal with increasing clouds as a disturbance comes east, some rain and showers will fill in tomorrow night with lows in the low 30s over NE PA where snow my mix in to low 40s along the coast, overall only a tenth of an inch or less is expected but could be some areas that get a quarter of an inch to half an inch especially over SNJ and Delaware and DC metro
Going into next week a pretty big warm up is on the way but also some active weather as the pattern turns zonal and flat from west t east so disturbances will move west to east across the country leading to several chances of showers but also warm temperatures moderating with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s all week.
