An area of low pressure has formed along a cold front slowly moving through the area and rain and thunderstorms are riding up the front as a result
Moderate to heavy rain will overspread the area from SW to NE , along with some thunderstorms possible, nothing too strong but don’t be surprised to see some lightning and hear some thunder.
The heaviest rainfall will be along the immediate coast where some can see an additional 1-2 inches, maybe even locally more, along I95 I expect a widespread 1/3 to 3/4 of an inch of rain locally up to 1-1.5 in thunderstorms and once you get west of I95 a widespread 1/4 to 1/3 can be expected locally up to 1/2 inch
This will be a fast-moving storm and will be out by 8-10 am Thursday morning followed by rapid clearing which will lead to a very nice weekend, Thursday will feature highs in the mid 60s to low 70s with lows in the 40s area wide
By Friday high pressure will be taking full control leading to sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 60s to low 70s, lows will be below normal in the 40s due to high pressure, clear skies leading to good radiational cooling
Saturday high pressure will shift off the coast leading to an establishing SW flow and moderating temperatures, highs in the 70s will be common with low to mid 70s expected , upper 60s in te higher elevations and lows in the mid 40s to low 50s or slightly above normal
Finally on Sunday to close the weekend out, high pressure will remain in control, with temperatures slightly above normal, highs in the low to upper 70s and los in the low to upper 50s before we flip back to more active times come Monday as acold front comes southand possibly stalls in the vicinity og our area, basically im looking for a active but seasonably mild weather pattern wit temperatures at or slightly above normal or the next 7 days.
