Periods of rain and showers have impacted the area over the past 24 hours with about a tenth of an inch along the coast to an inch over eastern PA
A cold front has basically stalled in PA and low pressure is riding the front north bound today
Theres some moderate to heavy rain developing over Delaware and SW NJ along with isolated thunderstorms as low pressure that was over the SE yesterday moves NE which will fill into the area late this morning into the afternoon. Today anywhere from 0.50-1.50 inches is expected with the least along the coast and most over western NJ. This low pressure is weak in nature but has a lot of moisture so the rainfall has potential to be very heavy and cause some minor flooding
Today late morning into early afternoon
Highs today wont much from where they are now due to clouds and rain with mid to upper 60s expected and tonight again lows wont fall much with clouds and showers, lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s
The steady rain will end by later this afternoon or early evening but with a cold front to our west the threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms remains tonight through your day on Wednesday, locally heavy rain will be possible but most areas should remain on the lighter side and some areas may remain high and dry, the best shot for showers and storms will be along the coast as the cold front starts to ove east.
It will get warm tomorrow as we will be head of a cold front with SW wind and possible breaks in the clouds, highs in the mid to upper 70s are expected with again the threat for scattered showers and storms , mainly in the afternoon.
We will finally clear out Thursday, with high pressure , nice skies, and comfortable conditions taking hold through the weekend with highs Thursday and Friday ranging from the mid 60s to low 70s, low humidity and lows in the mid 40s to mid 50s, then warming up a bit going into Saturday and Sunday with highs in the lower 70s to upper 70s and lows in the low 50s interior to upper 50s along the coast, basically perfect May weather, next threat of rain hold off until next week
