This afternoon we continue with a quiet weather pattern, a ridge is building in the Plains and Midwest ahead of a cold front that will be dropping out of Canada. This cold front will make for a very cold weekend but not before a mild Thanksgiving and Black Friday
This ridge, while it wont make it east into our area, it will cause rising heights and thus warming air a lot and thus warming air at the surface.
So for Thanksgiving , highs throughout the area will range from the mid to upper 40s NE PA to the mid to upper 50s along the coast , lows in the upper 20s NE PA to mid 30s to low 40s along the coast, all under clear skies
Friday as the flow becomes more west-southwest ahead of the cold front we will warm up even more, with highs in the upper 40s to around 50 NE PA to the mid to upper 50s , perhaps even a 60 degree reading in urban areas and SW NJ , lows in the low 30s NE PA to mid 30s to low 40s along the coast
The cold front will come through Saturday morning , temperatures will not rise much through the day as temperatures at 850 MB quickly crash from 5-7 degrees celsius to negative 8-12 degrees celsius as arctic air moves in
Highs in NE PA wont get out of the 30s and highs along the coast will be in the mid to upper 40s , quickly crashing to the upper 10s in NE PA to mid to upper 20s along the coast
Sunday most of he area will struggle to touch 40 with low 30s NE PA to upper 30s to around 40 along the coast FOR HIGHS lows again in the upper 10s NE PA to mid to upper 20s along the coast
