As we head into the holiday weekend we will be entering a very unsettled weather pattern , especially as we head towards Saturday night through Monday
We have been in the same pattern all week, with a large ridge over the Plains, with us on in between the axis of a ridge to the west and trough to the east
The ridge is expected to slowly break down through the weekend which will allow a series of disturbances and cold fronts to cross through the region , the first of which will begin to impact the area late Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning with scattered showers and storms, the activity will be similar to what we saw this week, hit or miss and anyone who gets the storms may get a ton of rain while locales not to far away get little to nothing but any storms will produce very heavy downpours and strong winds , and will also be slow-moving which could creat localized flooding issues.
Sunday into Monday
Another disturbance will come through Sunday afternoon through Monday with more widespread showers and storms then again Monday into Tuesday as the final cold front passes through more scattered to widespread showers and storms
Monday into Tuesday
Temperatures through the weekend will spike to above normal on Saturday with widespread mid to upper 80s , lower to mid 80s both along the coast and in higher elevations with increasing humidity, then with more in the way of clouds , showers and storms temperatures for the reminder of the weekend will fall to near to slightly below normal temperatures for highs with temps ranging from the mid 70s to low 80s area wide , with modest to high humidity levels night-time lows will remain above average in the mid 60s to low 70s, the potential exists for a lot of rain during the period.
A strong cold front will bring in a much cooler, drier air mass for Tuesday night through the rest of the week with temperatures generally below normal with highs in the 70s area wide and lows generally in the 50s to low 60s.
