While we have seen signs that a colder weather pattern is taking over, like last nights lows dropping into the 30s for a lot of people with the first frost of the season for some , we still have 2 more days of a roller coaster ride before the real chill sets in.
For today temperatures are rebounding nicely, and highs in the 60s are expected just about everywhere, lows tonight will be a bit milder as the flow turns southerly ahead of our next cold front with lows in the lower to mid 40s widespread, upper 40s to around 50 for urban locations and tomorrows highs will e similar to todays, in the lower to mid 60s widespread, a few isolated upper 60s possible in urban areas
Tomorrow night a cold front will approach with increasing clouds and isolated showers, temperatures will fall into the lower to middle 40s , upper 40s in urban areas under clouds and increasing showers.
An area of low pressure may develop off our coast and lead to a breezy raw and nasty Wednesday with showers and temperatures struggling in the mid 40s to low 50s for highs, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some wet flakes mix in over the higher elevations on Wednesday evening, especially the higher elevations of Connecticut and Massachusetts where the low will be stronger but even NW NJ/NE PA could see some. The rest of the area will be too warm , so if this happens just a very cold nasty rain with temperatures in the 40s with raw NE winds
Wednesday night through the weekend a large trough will take complete control of the eastern US
Highs through the entire period will struggle in the middle 40s to low 50s and lows will fall into the mid to upper 20s NE PA, mid 30s to around 40 in urban areas and along the coast, lower to mid 30s in between. If you have any plants outdoors you want to salvage or anything you definitely want to take them in as widespread freezes will be likely.
