Most of the area has seen a heavy dosage of rain today with ranges so far mostly in the 1-2 inch range, the heaviest part of this storm is yet to come and is just setting up now to our south and west
We can see heavy rain and thunderstorms rapidly expanding and heading northeast into our area, flooding is becoming a big issue to our south-west and flooding will likely become a big issue in our area as we head into the late afternoon hours through tonight. These waves off heavy rain will continue to develop and move through , as a warm front slowly makes it through the area, the steady heavy soaking rain will turn into a thunderstorm threat early Thursday morning before gradually winding down, an additional 2-3+ inches of rain can be expected for the area which will for sure cause flooding.
Temperatures will gradually rise and then rapidly rise tonight and tomorrow as the warm front moves north of the area with temperatures tonight modifying through the 40s , 50s and into the 60s and highs tomorrow in the 70s for a lot of the area, the steadiest rain will come to an end early Thursday morning but scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected through the afternoon and isolated to scattered showers ill remain a threat through Saturday although most locations may be dry Friday and Saturday. Some of the storms Thursday can be strong with strong winds and very heavy rain.
