We continue to add onto the string of nice weekends as the unsettled weather continues to be confined to weekdays, today will be mostly sunny and seasonable with highs in the lower 80s along the coast , mid to upper 80s elsewhere with low humidity , lows tonight will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s
Sunday will feature a bit more clouds and a slight chance of a late afternoon or nighttime shower or storm mostly confined to the west , otherwise mostly dry and highs similar to today, with a bit more humidity but still comfortable, low temps will moderate a bit but still be comfortable with low to mid 60s interior, mid to upper 60s elsewhere
Monday a very unsettled weather pattern will begin and will lock in through Wednesday , as a very impressive trough for this time of the year slowly makes it’s way east, and with hotter more humid and tropical air coming from the southwest ahead of the trough, and a very strong Canadian air mass coming behind the trough, along with the dynamics this trough will bring with it, several rounds of heavy showers and strong to severe thunderstorms are expected from Monday afternoon through Wednesday
Tuesday will feature the highest threat of severe weather and it could be quite nasty with widespread damaging winds, large hail and a isolated tornado or two.
The threat for showers and storms will linger into Wednesday as the cold front only very slowly crawls through the area
Highs Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid 80s to low 90s with high humidity and heat indices into the mid 90s to low 100s, Wednesday with be sharply cooler with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s then as the Canadian air comes in much of the area , Thursday and Friday will be very cool with highs in the 70s and lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s for most!
Rainfall amounts are forecast to be a widespread 2-4 inches but with situations like this training storms will occur and in these areas 5-6+ inches will be very possible
Here is the deep trough that takes over once the storm system exits
