After a stretch of seasonably warm days and cooler than average nights , a more humid and unsettled stretch of weather is on the way from tonight through Friday afternoon
A stalled boundary to the southwest will lift north east just enough to bring some waves of showers and scattered thunderstorms to the area, starting tonight over western areas than gradually spreading east tomorrow , not all areas will see rainfall and it will be more widespread the farther southwest one goes, like Central and SNJ , East, Central and SE PA etc but storms will be very slow moving and anyone who gets under one of these storms is expected to receive significant rainfall , these showers and storms will come in separate waves with breaks in between.
The humidity will be quite high compared to what we have seen lately and mostly cloudy to variable cloudy skies are expected through Friday night with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s and lows mostly in the 60s
A strong backdoor cold front will push the boundary back south with a more comfortable and dry air mass coming for the weekend with lower humidity, and highs in the mid 70s to low 80s and a breezy NE wind, lows mostly in the mid 50s to low 60s are expected
Humidity and some heat looks to return next week ahead of a slow moving cold front which could bring stormy weather from Tuesday through Thursday.
