A unsettled weather pattern is starting to lock in, it began with a disturbance that tracked through Upstate NY and NNJ with showers and brief downpours early this morning , storms are expected to become more widespread tonight through early Saturday.
A boundary dividing tropical hot humid air building over the center of the Country and the Marine air mass over our area comes north , the clashing of these 2 air masses along with plenty of disturbances will bring widespread waves of showers and thunderstorms.
These storms are not expected to be severe but will be slow moving and produce very heavy downpours, they can and will produce a lot of rain in areas that get thunderstorms with localized flash flooding likely
There will not be steady rain the whole time it will come in waves with breaks of clouds and sun in between waves , humidity will remain in place through early Saturday with temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s and lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s
We will begin to dry out by Saturday morning as a strong back door front pushes the tropical air mass back south, cool weather will follow this front with highs mostly stuck in the 70s area wide and lows in the mid 50s to low 60s through Monday
