I am watching a potential light snow event on Wednesday, not a big deal but maybe it will look like winter for a little while
Just a quick forecast for the next 2 days
Today, sunny and breezy SW winds highs in the upper 40s lows 23-30 with clear skies continuing tonight
Tuesday will be identical to today, just a few degrees cooler with highs in the mid to upper 40s lows 23-30
Now for the snow threat
A weak disturbance will move across the country then turn ENE up the east coast, this will bring snow showers and light snow to the area Weds afternoon and night, could start off as a mix of both rain and snow
The blue area looks to be mainly snow showers with a start as rain/snow mix, again not a big deal just some very minor accumulations , a coating to 1 inch maybe a localized 2 inches
Pink area will be a rain and wet snow mix perhaps a coating
For the remainder of the week it will get gradually colder as the polar vortex moves further south and brings cold air to the eastern US
Thursday, sunny highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s lows 18-25
Friday, sunny with highs in the mid to upper 30s lows 18-25
Saturday and Sunday highs in the low to mid 30s lows 18-25 watching a potential coastal storm, but right now the polar vortex looks to suppress it south, but we shall see
Here it latest European model for Monday, verbatim this is highs in the teens to mid 20s and lows in the negative single digits to positive single digits
This looks like the coldest shot of the year so far, question is how long does it last?
