This mornings I start with the surface map, as we have a cold front coming south that will lead to a much colder airmass buildong in this afternoon and tonight. Its currently in Central NY State moving due south. This is a dry frontal passage but will help us get some snow tomorrow.
For this afternoon, increasing and variable clouds with winds shifting NW, highs in the upper 40s, highs should be reached between 1-2 pm before dropping from there
Tonight, increasing clouds, turning overcast with lows 23-30
For Wednesday, cloudy and dry in the morning, snow showers and light snow filling in as the afternoon progresses, highs 32-38 , snow showers and light snow through 8pm
Here is the snow map
The light blue, the snow will be affected by high pressure and conflunce to the north and can expect snow showers perhaps a coating
Dark blue- These areas have to best shot at any steady snow , C-1 inch expected maybe a lolipop of 2 inches in higher elevations,
This is not a big deal, just basically snow falling from the sky, making it look like winter for a few hours, maybe some snow sticks to grassy surfaces and cars but the pavement is too warm , unless snow lasts into the night time, I expect more coating then 1-2 inch reading and areas where 1-2 inches are possible are in Central and South PA through West Virginia and perhaps into DC-BALT and just south of Philly, NYC I just expects snow showers that could lead to a coating
You see I put a low with a question mark offshore, the latest NAM develops a weak coastal low that comes close to enhaning snow over NYC and NJ so we shall see, the pattern is progressive so if it does develop it will probably be too far east but somthing to keep an eye on
